How to Set Up a Business Based on Followers

Theory
(1) Slow but Sure Growth: This type of business requires a lot of perseverence. You will go on promoting the business for a long time with no pay backs or income, or hope. But then all of a sudden, boom. You become rich overnight. Followers based businesses have a potential to explode exponentially like a nuclear bomb atomic fission. Many of them fail too but thats because they give up in the middle. If you don’t give up, you are destined to succeed as long as you have a niche thats even half way decent. It doesn’t matter how many competitors you have. As long as the niche is popular and you follow the steps properly, you will succeed even in a saturated market. The length of time it will take you to succeed heavily depends on the type of niche you are promoting. But since people like to know some numbers which I do understand, I would say that if you are spending at least 3-4 hours a day everyday, you should be all set within 1-3 years. Its the most stable and sure shot way to grow your business.

(2) Psychology: Any account on social platform when has enough number of followers or friends, it gathers an energy of its own almost like a living thing. To see the real effects of this energy, its important that the followers are grown organically, and there should be no fake followers or followers bought from a spammy website. Once you have over 100K followers, you will really start to understand what I mean by the “energy of its own”. Your account will start attracting small businesses, small amounts of donations, and an extra ordinary support from the followers. To explain this more, I will share an experiment that one of my friends did. He runs a small fun publication and has over 50,000 followers on Facebook and Twitter. One of the bigger branded companies used to use the materials from my friend’s work. And later, they filed a case against him trying to extort money from him taking advantage of the loopholes in India’s judiciary system. My friend wasn’t able to afford the monetary claims by the company but was liable to pay them. He posted an article to his community asking for help of $20000 in order to be able to pay all his expenses. He got $200,000 from his supporters within first 10 days of posting it out. This was totally unexpected according to him, and he didn’t know before this incident that his community cared about him so deeply and genuinely. The amount he received from each supporter was small, like $5-$20, but even thats a lot of money from someone you don’t know personally. Later on, he decided to exploit this further by launching several other campaigns all at once which was a dick move on his part, and he failed to collect the amounts that he was aiming for. But the point is, once you have a community of a large amount of followers, it will have a presence of its own in your life that you will be able to feel very strongly. And if you use it properly, you will be able to benefit from it greatly.

(2) Dynamics: Once you have over a threshold of followers, it becomes a rolling stone. After that point, the followers keep on growing even if you stay idle. But of course you don’t wanna stay idle. The number grows automatically due to various reasons. Firstly, social platform, on which you have the account, promotes your account itself due to the fact that its already quite popular. And so popular things attract even more popularity. And so your account and posts gets free organic traffic. Secondly, since you have have so many followers, every time you post something, it reaches about 30% of your followers, and out of them even if 10% like it and reshare it among their friends, their friends learn about your presence, and 5% of them may follow you as well. Now 5% of 10% of 30% is 0.15%, but since your followers are many, even the 0.15% comes out to be a big amount. For example, if you have 100k followers, you will get 150 new followers with each new post. Now you post 3 times a day, which means you will get 450 new followers a day, or about 13500 followers per month. And thats when you assume that each person has only 1 friend. But usually everyone no matter how unsociable they are have 100s of friends or followers on their main accounts. Moreover, if you try exra hard to be creative in your posts, your percentages will increase even further.

(2) Requirements and Steps: You only need 2 steps- Follow and Post. Create an account on a social platform where you want to grow the followings. Post a some nice, interesting or attractive content and then start following people. Some of the people you follow will follow you back. There are ways to increase the chances of people following you back, and to increase the chances that the people who are following you back would also be interested in the niche that you are promoting.

(3) Free Organic Followers vs Paid Ads Based Followers: The behavior of your both types of followers will be different in short term. And this behaviour is very likely to penetrate over a long time and thus affect the behavioral shape of your community. Free organic followers are more likely to engage with you on personal level, whereas paid followers will treat you more formally and will expect much more professionalism back from you. Organic followers will establish their trust on you through personal communication and your attitude towards them and can also be molded through referrals. Paid followers will base their trust on you through your presentational skills, and sample of products, as well as recommedations from other customers.

(4) Passion: Most important factor in running this type of business is that you should have passion in whatever niche you are trying to promote. You should be able to display your creativity and personality type in your posts that you share with your followers.
