Here I am talking about those projects for which you are willing to pay anywhere between $5000 to $20000. These projects could be web platform development, mobile apps, small mobile games, start up company’s product, desktop software, utility tool, etc. Most of the time, these projects require development on multiple platforms at once such as web as well as Android and iOS, etc.

Assumptions

• Most likely, your project requires several well-experienced coders and designers to be working in a team coordinating with each in order to develop the project.
• Most likely, your project will require anywhere between 45-180 days to develop.
• Most likely, I won’t be able to able to handle your project using my own team, since my team is more scattered and based off of work-at-home, contract based coders and designers.

• Services that I will provide:
  • Its easy for me to convince the firms to start the work on no down payments. I have built a good reputation among them on my work ethics and management skills, and they are willing to take the risk for the clients that I bring to them.
  • I will study your project requirements. I will point out the challenges that the coders/designers are going to face in the project. I will determine if the project is technically possible, and if not, I will suggest a different route to accomplish your motives.
  • I will provide an advice on what should the range of budget be for optimized quality for which most good firms might offer a great product.
  • I will also predict the true range of timeline of the project since the firms themselves never provide a super short timelines to the employers in order to attract them.
  • If you have a budget lower than the advised budget, I might still be able to get the product developed with satisfactory GUI quality but we (you and I) will face the following challenges:
    • We will hire several firms one after another, and they might fail, but we will repeat the process until we are happy and satisfied with one firm. This will not only delay the project but will also ruin our reputation in the market among several firms to whom we won’t pay after having them work on the project. (There is a way to deal with these problems and doing business more ethically with the firms without delaying the project and without ruining our reputation which I will discuss with you after we reach an agreement.)
    • There are chances that the firm will spend less time making the software robust. (There is no sure way of handling this except to depend on your luck.)
  • One problem that employers and firms face is that employer’s request might change in the middle of the project, or the employers might ask for “little” changes at the end of the project to fine-tune their new app or game or website. However, for a non-technical employer, its hard to judge whether what he is requesting is just a small tweak or whether its actually a totally changed requirements which require change in the internal infrastructure of the project. When the firm tries to explain this the employer, the employer worries that they are just making excuses because they got most of their funds, or they worry that they are trying to extort more money from him just my making excuses on small changes that don’t really seem to be that much work. And this creates an unsatisfactory employer experience. But sometimes, the firms really do make excuses and try to extort the employer. So I will act on employer’s behalf to judge whether the firm is actually facing problem genuinely to deliver the small new request from the employer or whether they are just trying to make excuse and trying to extort. Since I am just charged a flat fee instead of percentage commission from both employer and firm, the employer can be sure that I will be fair and impartial for both of them and that I won’t try to manipulate the budget. If the firm try to extort my employers, they won’t get future projects from me and they will be out of my list of trusted companies forever which will cost them thousands of dollars. And so the employer may feel safer with my intervention.
  • Depending on the type of project, I might hold a competition among 3-5 firms on who will finish the project sooner or who will finish the project with best quality. The team who finishes the project first or best quality will receive 80% of the money, the other 4 participants will receive only 5% each. This was just a general idea. But the exact model of the competition or whether to organize a competition at all will be after I go through your project requirements.
• Quality Assurance:
  • I will point out if the project developed by the firm adheres to latest security vulnerability standards.
  • I will point out if the project developed by the firm follows best coding practices and is modular enough so that it will be relatively easy and cheaper for the employer to maintain the source code or make changes to it later on by hiring personal coders or other cheaper contract-based coders.
  • I will point out if the source code developed by the firm is well commented, and well documented, with a good tutorial on how to install, use, and maintain the project, and that whether the Read Me contains full list of requirements to run the project as well as compile the source code from scratch.
